Every event has a lineup — the list of who's performing, in what order, with optional set times and stages. The lineup is separate from your bookings. A booking is the deal. A lineup slot is where that act sits on the running order.
You can add slots before any bookings exist, link bookings to slots as deals come together, and choose exactly which names and times are visible to the public. The lineup shows up on your Event list website embed, on Calendar Sync feeds, and inside documents — so the running order stays up to date everywhere without extra work.
How the Lineup tab works
Open an event and choose the Lineup tab.
The lineup is made up of slots. Each slot is one appearance — an act, a placeholder, or a gap between sets (a changeover). You build the running order by adding slots, and everything stays as a local draft until you save the event.
Add a slot
At the bottom of the lineup, type a name in the Slot or performer name field.
Optionally set a Start and End time, pick a Stage, and add a Label (like Headliner or Opener).
Press Enter or click the check icon to add the slot.
The slot is now on the lineup. If you leave the name empty, it shows as Slot — a placeholder you can fill in later.
You can also hover between two existing slots and click the plus icon to insert a slot or changeover in the middle of the running order.
Add a booking to the lineup
There are two ways to get a booking onto the lineup:
Automatically: When a booking on this event is confirmed, it's added to the lineup if Automatically add confirmed bookings to the lineup is on (the default). New slots start as Hidden unless Automatically publish bookings on the lineup is also on. Change this in Customize Settings on the event, or set the Account default in Settings → Events.
Manually: Drag a booking from the Bookings panel on the right side of the Lineup tab and drop it onto the lineup, or use Add to lineup. You can drop it into a specific position, or onto an empty placeholder slot to fill that slot with the booking. If the booking is already confirmed and Automatically publish bookings on the lineup is on, that slot is set to Published.
When a booking is linked to a slot, the slot inherits the name, set times, label, and stage from the booking. You can override any of these on the lineup without changing the booking.
Placeholder slots
Placeholder slots are useful when you know the running order but haven't confirmed every act yet. Add a slot with a name (like "Support TBC") or leave it unnamed — unnamed slots show as Slot on the Lineup tab.
When you're ready, link a booking to that placeholder. The slot picks up the booking's details, and the placeholder is replaced.
Unnamed slots never appear on the public lineup, Event list, or Calendar Sync. They're only visible to you on the Lineup tab.
Changeovers
A changeover is a gap between sets — the time between one act finishing and the next starting.
Hover between two slots on the lineup and click the plus icon.
Choose Add changeover.
If the slots on either side have set times, the changeover times are filled automatically. Otherwise, set the start and end times yourself.
You can also use Add changeovers in the toolbar to add changeover rows between every slot that doesn't have one. Fix changeovers updates existing changeovers to match the times of the slots on either side.
Changeovers never appear on the public lineup or Event list — they're only on the Lineup tab and in documents where you choose to include them.
Stages
If your event has more than one performance area, you can assign slots to stages.
On a slot, open the Stage dropdown.
Type to search existing stages, or choose Create new to add one.
Pick a color and add internal notes if you'd like.
Stages are shared across the event. You can edit or delete a stage from the … menu next to the stage name — acts stay on the lineup without a stage when you delete one.
On the calendar inline editor, use View options next to the copy button to show or hide stage names alongside the lineup.
Publishing and hiding slots
Each slot on the lineup has a Published or Hidden status. This controls whether the name appears on public surfaces — your Event list embed, Calendar Sync notes, and the public document lineup block.
Published — the name and optional set times are visible when the event is published.
Hidden — the slot stays on the lineup for your reference, but the name doesn't appear publicly.
To change the status, use the switch in the Status column on each row. You can also select multiple slots and use Publish selected or Unpublish selected, or use Publish all / Unpublish all at the top.
When you confirm a booking, a new lineup slot starts as Hidden unless Automatically publish bookings on the lineup is on. That same setting also publishes a slot that's already on the lineup when that booking is confirmed (for example a pending act you added by hand).
The event must also be published for any lineup names to appear publicly. Publishing a slot only takes effect once the event itself moves to a published status (like Announced, On Sale, or similar).
Showing and hiding set times
Set times on the lineup are separate from whether the slot is published. Even when a slot is published, set times are hidden on the public lineup by default.
To show times for a slot, expand the slot and turn on Show times on the public lineup. When this is off, the name appears publicly but the start and end times stay private.
What shows on the public lineup
The public lineup is what visitors and other contacts see. For a name to appear:
The event must be published (moved to a published status).
The slot must be set to Published.
The slot must have a name — unnamed placeholder slots never appear.
Changeovers are never shown publicly. Set times only appear when Show times on the public lineup is turned on for that slot.
Where the public lineup appears
The published lineup shows up in several places automatically:
Event list on your website — When Show lineup is turned on in Settings → Website for your Event list, published act names appear under each event. Set times show as a compact clock before the name. You can turn off the Lineup toggle in Customize Settings on an individual event to hide its lineup from the public list, even when the list-level toggle is on. See Put your upcoming shows on your website for setup.
Calendar Sync — Published names appear under a Lineup heading in the notes on your calendar entries. Hidden or unannounced names stay out of those notes. See Export your calendar for setup.
Documents — The Lineup custom block in documents shows the lineup from the Lineup tab, including hidden acts (since documents like contracts are private). Optional block settings can include changeovers and stage names.
Lineup on the calendar
On the calendar, the inline event editor has a Lineup tab. This is a compact view of the same lineup — you can publish and unpublish slots, copy the lineup as text, and use View options to show changeovers and stages. Choose Edit lineup to open the full Lineup tab on the event.
Removing a booking from the lineup
To take a booking off the lineup, expand the slot and choose Remove from lineup. You can keep the slot as a placeholder (without the booking linked) or remove the slot entirely. The booking always stays linked to the event either way.
If you cancel, revert to draft, or otherwise unconfirm a booking, their lineup slot stays on the running order but turns Hidden. They come off the public bill. Remove the slot from the Lineup tab if you don't need it.
Saving the lineup
Changes on the Lineup tab are a local draft until you save the event. When you navigate away with unsaved changes, you'll see the standard unsaved changes prompt.
On the calendar inline editor, the compact lineup drafts until you press Save in the Lineup tab footer.
Common questions
Do I need to create bookings to use the lineup? No. You can add named or unnamed slots manually and never link them to a booking. The lineup works with or without bookings.
What happens when I confirm a booking? If Automatically add confirmed bookings to the lineup is on (the default), they're added as Hidden. If Automatically publish bookings on the lineup is on, a confirmed booking that's on the lineup is set to Published — including one you already added while it was pending.
What happens when I cancel a booking? If they were on the lineup, the slot stays but turns Hidden. They come off the public bill. Remove the slot from Lineup if you don't need it.
Can I reorder the lineup? Yes. Drag slots to change the order. You can also use Sort by time to order acts by their set time, with the latest slot at the top.
Why doesn't my act show on Event list? Check four things: the event is published, the slot is set to Published, the slot has a name, and the Lineup toggle in Customize Settings on that event is on. Unnamed slots never appear publicly.
Can I have more than one lineup on an event? The API supports multiple named lineups (waves), but the current UI creates one per event. This is useful for multi-stage festivals in a future update.
