Set up event ticketing

Track ticket sales, manage providers, and monitor sell-through across your events and tours.

Written by Emma

Ticket tracking turns your events into a live sales dashboard. Add ticket types with prices and availability, watch sold counts update in real time, and review gross and net totals — all without leaving the event. If you use Moshtix, Oztix, or Universe, connect the platform and link a show — sold counts sync automatically.

Tour reports roll up ticket data across all events on the tour, so you can see the full picture in one place.

Ticketing modes

Each event has a ticketing mode. Open an event and look for the Ticketing section.

  • No tickets — ticketing is off. Use this for private events or anything without a door count.

  • RSVP only — a single link to an external RSVP page. No sales tracking.

  • Tickets — full ticketing with providers, ticket types, prices, and reporting.

Only show events support full ticketing.

Providers, groups, and ticket types

When ticketing is on, you add one or more providers — where tickets are being sold.

  • Custom — manual ticket tracking. You enter ticket types, prices, and sold counts yourself.

  • Door — same as custom, but designated for walk-up or on-the-door sales.

  • Integration — linked to Moshtix, Oztix, or Universe. Sales sync automatically and rows are read-only.

Within a provider, you can organise ticket types into groups (like Early Bird, General Release) with optional sale windows and allocation caps. Each ticket type has a name, face price, optional booking fee, and availability.

Adding ticket types

  1. Open an event and scroll to Ticketing.

  2. Choose Tickets as the mode if it's not already set.

  3. Select Add source to create a provider (Custom, Door, or Integration).

  4. Add ticket types with a name, price, and available count.

  5. Update Sold as tickets sell (Custom and Door providers).

  6. Save the event.

Ticket types on an event

For integration sources, sold counts update when you sync or on a scheduled refresh — you don't type those numbers in.

Link Moshtix, Oztix, or Universe

Connect the platform once, then link a show on the event.

  1. Open Settings, Integrations.

  2. Select Connect on Moshtix, Oztix, or Universe and approve access.

  3. Open the event, choose Add Source, and pick the platform.

  4. Choose the show from the list, or paste the event URL (Oztix and Universe).

Summary cards

At the top of the ticketing section, summary cards show:

  • Tickets — total sold across all providers, with a percentage badge showing sell-through.

  • Ticket gross — total revenue including booking fees.

  • Ticket net — face value only, excluding booking fees.

  • Settlement amount — expected ticket-sales payout on linked platforms. Moshtix shows After deductions and can move to Payout when payout records arrive. Oztix and Universe show From collected sales and stay Projected. If you mix platforms, the helper says Combined from each source. See Understand Moshtix ticket totals and settlement amounts for Moshtix badges.

Ticket reports

Open the ticket report from the event menu or the tour overview. Reports show:

  • Tickets — sold count and percentage of available.

  • Today — how many tickets sold since the last snapshot. On the first day of tracking, this shows a dash until a full day of history exists.

  • Ticket gross and Ticket net — same as the event summary.

  • A sales chart showing tickets sold over time.

  • A breakdown table by ticket type with per-type sold, price, gross, and daily changes.

Tour reports aggregate across all events on the tour.

Common questions

Can I mix Custom and Integration providers on one event? Yes — you can have door sales alongside a linked Moshtix, Oztix, or Universe event.

What happens if I change available after tickets are sold? Sell-through percentage updates immediately. Historical snapshots keep the original values.

How often do linked platforms sync? When you refresh the event, or on a scheduled refresh.

Can another team see my ticket report for an artist we both represent? Only if you shared that work with them in Share with other teams, and ticket reports are on. See Share work with other teams.
