When you book a Connected contact, you can see when they're already busy — from confirmed sets or days they've marked unavailable — and avoid offering a set time that conflicts. That's so you don't send a clash they already have on their calendar.
You stay flexible on your own Account: overlapping yourself (or booking on behalf of a roster member) isn't blocked. Those checks protect the other Connected Account on the offer, not how you run your own side.
What counts as busy
For a Connected Account, busy includes:
Confirmed performance set times on their bookings
Manual unavailability they (or their roster, with permission) marked on the calendar — all day or a time window
People who aren't Connected don't share busy times with you. You'll book them the usual way without availability blocking — until you're Connected, there's nothing mutual to check.
On the booking offer
When the To side is a Connected Account (not your own Account), the offer respects their availability so you don't send a clash.
Busy times are disabled in the set-time picker. You can't choose a slot that overlaps a confirmed set or a window they've marked unavailable.
A warning can show while you're editing parties if they're unavailable on that date — a heads-up while you're still choosing who.
If set times are already filled in, choosing a Connected contact who's busy for those times is blocked — pick someone else, or change the set times first.
Sending or confirming an offer that still conflicts is rejected so the booking doesn't go out with a clash.
Contact pickers
When you're choosing To or To for, Connected contacts who are unavailable all day on the event date can show as Unavailable so you don't pick them by mistake.
Confirmed set overlaps can also flag contacts when draft set times already exist.
What still stays flexible
Your From side, On behalf of, and your own Account are never blocked by unavailability on the offer. You can double-book yourself if you need to — overlapping yourself, or booking on behalf of a roster member, isn't blocked.
Those checks are for the Connected contact on To. Their calendar stays clear of clashes you would otherwise send, while you stay free to organise your own side.
Tips
Mark days off on your calendar so Connected bookers see you're unavailable — see Share your calendar and avails.
Exact handoff minutes stay selectable (for example ending at 5:00 pm when their busy window starts at 5:00 pm). A set can finish right as their busy window begins.
Common questions
What if they aren't Connected? People who aren't Connected don't share busy times with you. You'll book them the usual way without availability blocking.
Can I double-book myself? Yes. Your From side, On behalf of, and your own Account are never blocked by unavailability on the offer. Overlapping yourself, or booking on behalf of a roster member, isn't blocked.
Why was sending or confirming rejected? If the offer still conflicts with the Connected contact's busy times, sending or confirming is rejected so the booking doesn't go out with a clash. Pick someone else, or change the set times first.
Can someone confirm from a public booking link if they're unavailable? Yes. Someone confirming from a public booking link into their own unavailability can still confirm — they may see a warning, but they aren't hard-blocked the same way Connected offer editing is.
