When you’re booking a band (or any Connected account with roster defaults), you shouldn’t have to rebuild the lineup and fee split from scratch every time.
Open Split payments on the offer — when the section is empty, their saved defaults can fill in automatically. If they have no usable saved defaults, Connected roster members (then CRM roster) can load as an equal-split starting point instead — then adjust people, percentages, fixed amounts, and tax for that booking before you send.
Before you start
You’re on a Pro plan (or higher).
The booking has a clear To contact — usually the band or act you’re booking.
The deal is set up so Split payments can open (for example a fixed total fee with a clear payee on the other side).
Optional: the To contact is Connected, has Split payment defaults turned on, and has saved defaults on their roster — that’s when autofill works best.
Load defaults from a Connected band
Open the booking and go to the offer.
Make sure To is the Connected band (or act) you’re booking.
Add or open the Split payments section.
When the section is empty and the band has defaults turned on with a saved set, shares fill in automatically — people are added to your contacts as needed. A loading state shows while defaults load.
If they have no usable saved defaults, Connected roster members load first (materialized into your contacts as needed), then remaining CRM roster members, as equal percentages. Large rosters may truncate — add anyone missing with Add split.
To start over after you’ve edited rows, change To away and back to the same band (this clears and reloads defaults), or edit rows manually.
You can still add, remove, or edit people after that — including roster members who weren’t in the band’s saved defaults. The booking keeps its own copy — if the band changes their roster defaults later, this booking won’t change by itself.
Edit shares on the booking
For each person:
Choose the contact (and person on that contact when needed).
Pick percentage or fixed amount.
Enter the share, or leave it blank until you know the number.
Set tax for that row — Including tax, Plus tax, or No tax when the booking has a tax rate.
Fixed amounts are taken first; percentages apply to what’s left — the same rules as on the roster defaults.
Tax from the band’s defaults
When a row’s tax came from the band’s saved Split payments defaults, you’ll see a small indicator on the tax control (different from the usual lock when you set tax yourself).
Roster defaults store tax on or off only. Tax-on loads onto the booking as Plus tax (for example Plus GST).
That tax stays for that default member until you change it on this booking, or replace them with someone else.
If Auto-set tax rate is on and you haven’t locked tax yourself, swapping the contact updates tax to match that contact (for example No tax if they aren’t registered).
Changing tax on the row locks it for this booking the same way a manual pick does.
If the band’s tax country doesn’t match this booking, the row may land on No tax so the usual payment-profile suggestions can still apply.
Currency differences
If the band saved defaults in a different currency than this booking:
Percentages still copy
Fixed amounts stay empty so you can enter the right currency here
People still appear on the lineup
Send the offers
When the lineup and shares look right:
Finish the rest of the offer as usual.
Preview and send from the group booking.
Each person on Split payments can get their own offer for their share.
After offers have gone out, defaults won’t autofill again on that booking — edit the rows on the booking if something still needs to change.
Tax and shares after send: Each person’s booking copies amount, tax, role, and person from their Split payments row when you send. After that, edit the row on the group booking — those changes sync onto that person’s deal terms and draft settlements (no automatic resend; Resend when you want them notified).
You can also use Auto fix (or Auto-set tax) on the person booking: it updates the group Split row, then syncs back. Deal terms on the person booking stay read-only.
If a person’s settlement is pre-approved, approved, or closed, that Split row is locked. If the group settlement is locked, all Split rows are locked.
See one act on your calendar and bookings list
After you send Split payments from your account:
Bookings and Calendar (month and grid) show one row for the act, with a Split payments chip.
Select the caret beside the act to expand and open each person’s booking.
On Calendar, open Bookings → View → Split payments to show nested people on month and grid views. Week and day views still show each person’s set times separately.
Searching for a person’s name on the bookings list opens the band row to that person.
When the whole fee is split vs a leftover on the group booking
Each person still gets their own offer for their share.
When every dollar is carved out to people, the group booking stays visible on your calendar and list so you can track the lineup. Status follows the members — people get offers; the band contact does not get a separate offer email for a zero-dollar group row.
When money remains on the group booking (even one cent), that leftover is a normal offer — send, confirm, and settle it like any other booking. Member confirmations do not confirm the leftover for you, and confirming the leftover does not confirm members for you.
You can also…
Build Split payments only on the booking, with no roster defaults, when the lineup is one-off.
Swap someone for another person from the Connected roster after the defaults load.
Leave a share blank until the fee is final, then fill amounts before you send.
Common questions
Why didn’t anything autofill? Check that To is the Connected band and Split payments is empty. Saved defaults need Split payment defaults on with a saved set (Rosters → Split payments). Without that, autofill still tries Connected + CRM roster equal-split when those lists aren’t empty.
Can I reload after I’ve already edited? Change To away and back to the same band to clear and reload defaults, or edit rows manually. There is no separate Load button on the booking offer in the current release.
Why won’t defaults reload after send? Once offers are out, autofill stops. Change individual rows on the booking instead.
Why can’t I Auto fix tax on someone’s booking? That booking’s deal terms come from the group Split payments share. Open the group booking to change shares. After send, changing tax on the group does not rewrite already-sent person offers — set tax before send, or ask support for already-sent bookings.
Do I need Pro? Yes, to use Split payments on bookings.
Why do I see one booking on the calendar but several offers went out? Your account nests split bookings under one act row on month, grid, and the bookings list. Expand the caret to open each person’s booking.
Why can’t the band confirm the group booking when the whole fee is split? When nothing is left on the group booking, the group row tracks lineup status from the members. People confirm their own offers; the band contact is not emailed a separate group offer for that case.
